This work has sprung out of Katie Hansen's call to share Aspects of the Hebrew Way and her mission, with her husband, in playing a role in the Gathering of Israel.
Many thanks to those involved in the creation and piloting years to assist in bringing forward our character-based positive scripting, Symbolic-learning At Home Resources:
Katie Hansen, with Aneladee Milne, and Kim Davis with the storytelling, through the 501c3 Liber Education Laboratory, and the many wonderful mothers who implemented it Liber Academy Commonwealth's "Lab School," 2013-2016.
What is the House of the Book?
In an earlier Hebrew culture, it was understood, that a person's education began with their "House of the Book," then "House of Learning," and eventually progressed to their "House of Study." This beginning of education was where the first lessons of relationships, roles and order in his/her House were formulated. The ancient focus of childhood education was on following God's Natural Laws which primarily came from the Books of Moses. Learning through these laws and principles helped them develop their first and foremost, their individual relationship with God, their Sovereign King, and helped them understand their role as His children and their role as Vassal Kings along with the reesponsibilities, opportunities and blessings attached to these roles.
For us today, the House is the character and well being of each individual. A House in order is built a moral and Christ-centered character education. It is the individual's character, paradigm and skills which brings virtuous or vicious actions such as courage, humility, civility and love vs. rashness or pride and produce the fruits of the Divine Self or one of a lesser quality.
True education, is the application of knowledge to the development of a noble and Godlike character. . Character is the aim of true education; and science, history, and literature are but means used to accomplish the desired end. Character is not the result of chance work but of continuous right thinking and right acting. - David O. McKay
We can illustrate this House of learning by comparing it to a tree:
How are we assisting "the House?"
Throughout Foundation Builder Guide, we are inviting women to engage in studying the original source Hebraic Principles of Creation to strengthen their own foundation for the purpose of Unlocking the Chambers within in order that they might model wholeness and become in their role as the Principal Mentor in the home for their family and community. The materials, tools and elements for the full study are the Study Guide & Companion Workbook, a notebook for the writing experiences, a carefully chosen and coordinated booklist, monthly live online mentoring discussions and book discussions, a 22-month online learning system containing recordings of the mentoring discussions and Symbolic-learning Home Resources which provide a way for mothers to teach the Principles of Creation and share this Hebrew Way in the home.
Foundation Builder Guide also provides further opportunities to gather in person to experience immersion in Healing Arts: The Organic Environments & Materials in a Hebrew Model way. Look for our Unlocking the Chambers Women's Retreat trainings.
